Clean heating is imperative, but because of the low initial investment when purchasing electric boilers, many users flock to them. In the new media background of this publication, users often ask: "Which is more economical than air source heat pump heating or electric boiler?" To answer this question, it is necessary to calculate the initial investment cost and operating cost, and even the use of the product number of years.

Next, we take the heating area of 1000㎡ (small heating project) and 10000㎡ (large heating project) as an example to compare the investment economy of air source heat pump and electric boiler heating.
**1. 1000㎡, payback in less than 3 years!**
**1.1 Basic information of the project**
Taking a building with a general enclosure structure in Beijing as an example, the heat load is 80w per square meter (recommended value for coal to electricity), then the total heat load is 1000㎡×80w/㎡=80KW; the price of commercial electricity is 1 yuan/kwh Calculation; the number of heating days is 120 days.
A total heat load of 80KW requires an 80kW electric boiler. After the whole heating season, the energy efficiency value of the air source heat pump is calculated as 2.5 times that of the electric boiler, and the power of the air source heat pump host is required to be 32KW (80KW÷2.5=32KW), which is almost a 40P host.
The COP of the air source heat pump in the whole heating season can reach 2.5, while the thermal efficiency of the electric boiler must not reach 100%, so it is no problem to calculate by 2.5 times.
Considering that the heating capacity of the air source heat pump decreases in the coldest month, the configuration of the main unit can be appropriately increased. Here, two 24P (24P is a common model) air source heat pump low-temperature heaters are configured.
**1.3 Equipment investment cost**
The equipment and installation cost of an 80KW electric boiler is very low, about 20,000-30,000 yuan, which is calculated here as 20,000 yuan. The equipment and installation costs of air source heat pump heating projects are mostly calculated based on the area, and the market price is generally around 200 yuan/㎡ (the larger the project, the lower the unit price, here it is calculated at 200 yuan/㎡), Party A is required Investment 1000㎡×200 yuan/㎡=200,000 yuan.
Power grid upgrade cost: There is basically no need to increase the heating area of 1000 square meters, which is not considered here.
Electric boiler heating works continuously, while air source heat pump heating works intermittently. It will stop working after meeting the heat requirements and restart it from time to time. However, whether it is continuous heating or intermittent heating, the building's heat demand is the same, and it will not be less because you are intermittently heating. Therefore, whether it is an electric boiler or an air source heat pump low-temperature heating unit, it is calculated on an average of 12 hours a day.
Then the heating cost of the electric boiler for one heating season is: 80KW×12h×120 days×1 yuan/kWh≈115,000 yuan.
The heating cost of the air source heat pump is: 35KW (2 sets of 24P, 1P=735W, the total power is about 35KW) × 12h × 120 days × 1 yuan/degree ≈ 50,000.
The investment of air source heat pump heating is 20-2=180,000 yuan more than that of electric boilers, and the annual operating cost is 115,000-5=65,000 yuan less.
It can be seen from the data that in less than 3 years, the extra initial investment of the air source heat pump can be recovered!
The economical comparison of the two types of heat source investment in the 1000㎡ heating project in the Beijing area is summarized in the following table:

**2. 10,000㎡, payback within two years**
The basic situation of the project is the same as above, and will not be repeated here.

The total heat load required for 10,000 square meters is 800KW, so an 800KW electric boiler is required. The energy efficiency value of the air source heat pump is still calculated as 2.5 times that of the electric boiler, the area is increased by 10 times, and the power of the air source heat pump host is also increased by 10 times, that is, the project needs to be equipped with 20 24P air source heat pump low temperature heating machines.
**2.2 Equipment investment cost**
The equipment and installation cost of 800KW electric boiler is about 10 times that of 80KW, and the calculation here is based on 200,000 yuan. The equipment and installation costs of the air source heat pump heating project are calculated according to the area mentioned above, and the market price will fluctuate according to the size of the area.
Generally speaking, the larger the heating area, the lower the unit price. Therefore, if the input cost of this project is calculated at 160 yuan/㎡, Party A needs to invest 10,000㎡×160 yuan/㎡=1.6 million yuan.
A project of 10,000 square meters is relatively large. To meet the operation of equipment with a power of 800KW, a transformer of 1000KVA is required. The existing power grid load will definitely not be able to meet it, and the power grid needs to be upgraded. The price of power grid upgrade varies from place to place, and the difference is very large. Taking Beijing as an example, a 1000KVA transformer is calculated at 500,000 yuan.
Compared with electric boilers, the equipment power of 20 24P air source heat pump heating units is about 350KW (20 units×24P×0.735W/P=352KW). If the power grid is upgraded, a 630KVA transformer is enough, and the capacity increase fee is 300,000 for calculation.
The calculation conditions are still based on the previous ones, whether it is an electric boiler or an air source heat pump, it is calculated on the basis of 12 hours of working time per day, then——
The heating cost of an electric boiler for one heating season is: 800KW×12h×120 days×1 yuan/degree ≈1.15 million yuan
The heating cost of the air source heat pump is: 350KW × 12h × 120 days × 1 yuan/degree ≈ 500,000 yuan
We first calculate the premise investment, the total investment cost of electric boiler heating = equipment and installation cost + power grid upgrade cost = 200,000 + 500,000 = 700,000 yuan;
The total investment cost of air source heat pump heating = 1.6 million + 300,000 = 1.9 million. The total investment of the air source heat pump is 1.9 million-700,000 = 1.2 million yuan more.
But in terms of operating costs, the annual heating cost of air source heat pump heating is 1.15 million-500,000 = 650,000 yuan less than that of electric boiler heating.
It can be seen from the data that if Party A adopts air source heat pump for heating, the extra investment in less than two years can be recovered.

**3. Summary: Air source heat pumps are more cost-effective**
This year's epidemic has particularly hit the service industry. Many businesses are going to have a very difficult time. Because of this, the investment should be chosen more carefully. For Party A, knowing that the energy-saving effect of air source heat pump heating is better, they should not pay too much attention to the initial investment cost, but should take a long-term view to avoid repeated investment.
The data calculations of the above two cases are based on hypothetical projects, and the actual data may have some differences, which are for reference only.
